About Spiti Valley and Kibber:
Situated in the high-altitude Himalayan belts of Himachal Pradesh, Spiti Valley borders India
and Tibet. Spiti incorporates mainly the valley of Spiti river and it’s tributaries. The cold
desert atmosphere of Spiti is home to many exotic Himalayan fauna such as Snow Leopard,
Himalayan or Tibetan Wolf, Red Fox, Asiatic ibex, Bharal or Blue Sheep and many others.
Our destination in Spiti, i.e. Kibber village and the surrounding area is hotspot for the Snow
Leopards and it’s preybase. Kibber is at an altitude of 14200ft and the village is famous for
hosting tourists during winters for Snow Leopard watching. Kibber and Chicham village is
located at the north-east part of Himachal and nearly 400 km drive from Shimla.
Short itinerary:
Day 1 : Delhi or Chandigarh to Rampur Busahr drive. Overnight Rampur.
Day 2 : Rampur to Tabo drive. overnight Tabo
Day 3 : Tabo to Kibber drive. Join Snow Leopard tracking team on the field.
Day 4 : Snow leopard tracking and photography activity
Day 5 : Snow leopard tracking and photography activity
Day 6 : Snow leopard tracking and photography activity
Day 7 : Snow leopard tracking and photography activity
Day 8 : Snow leopard tracking and photography activity
Day 9 : Snow leopard tracking and photography activity
Day 10 : Drive to Rampur from Kibber. Overnight at Rampur Busahr
Day 11: Drive from Rampur to Delhi airport or Chandigarh airport. Drop off.
